8 days Kondoa Irangi tour and the wildlife safari to Lake manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. This tour gives you the opportunity to explore both Tanzania wildlife and the culture.
Kondoa Irangi Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive to Arusha.
Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha town for overnight at Arusha Tourist Inn.
Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara
Leave Arusha for Lake Manyara National park with packed lunch. Upon the arrival proceed with the game drive till evening. Lake Manyara is the home to a variety of wild animals including the tree climbing lions.
Dinner and Overnight Havann Camp.
Day 3: Lake Manyara Ngorongoro Crater.
Early morning breakfast and depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day ngorongoro crater tour. Enjoy the magnificent view of the crater and its wildlife. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Afternoon drive out back to Lake Manyara area
Dinner and overnight at Havann Camp.
Day 4: Lake Manyara to Kondoa Irangi
Depart Lake Manyara area for Kondoa Irangi at 9:00 am stop for lunch at Babati town then proceed to Kondoa for overnight at New Geneva Hotel / Dudu rest house. Kondoa Irangi contains one of the world’s finest collections of prehistoric rock paintings, with an estimated 1600 individual paintings at almost two hundred different sites, the most accessible of which are in the Irangi Hills north of Kondoa. The most recent date from just a century or two ago, but the oldest are estimated to be between 19,000 and 30,000 years old, ranking them among the world’s most ancient examples of human artistic expression.
The spectacular collection of images from over 150 shelters, many with high artistic value, display sequences that provide a unique testimony to the changing socio-economic base of the area from hunter-gather to agro-pastoralist societies, and the beliefs and ideas associated with them. Some of the shelters are still considered to have ritual associations with the peoples who live nearby.
Day 5: Kondoa Irangi Tour
Breakfast in your hotel then leave for Mangoni sites at 09:00 am, either picnic lunch or hot Lunch, at 14:30hrs start again for Pahi sites.
Dinner and overnight New Geneva hotel/ Dudu rest house.
Day 6: Kondoa Irangi Tour
Depart for Thawi sites at 09:00 am, hot lunch at 14:30hrs start Again for Kandaga sites.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel/Dudu rest house
Day 7: Kondoa Irangi Tour: Tarangire National Park.
At 09:00 am, leave Kondoa to Tarangire National Park via the small town of babati where you will stop for shopping and lunch then proceed to Tarangire for dinner and overnight at Elephant lodge. (All meals includes)
Day 8: Tarangire – Arusha
Early game driving then back to the lodge for breakfast at 10:00 a.m. Relax till lunch then load your luggage ready to depart for the afternoon game drive and Arusha.
Arrive Arusha late evening.
Dinner and overnight at Arusha Tourist Centre Inn/Le Jacaranda hotel/ Arusha out post lodge.
In the following day you will be provided with transportation to the airport as per your flight schedule back home.
